Prestige is optional. It opens once you have claimed milestone 5. You can keep climbing instead. There is no frame for prestiging, and prestige does not add bits to daily. Cards, bits, tags, and frames stay where they are. The only thing that resets is the milestone cycle, so the 250-bit step is available again.
What you keep
The percents are not a menu. Prestiging at 5 keeps none. Prestiging later keeps every percent from step 6 through the step you reached.
- After 6: burns pay 1% more.
- After 7: that, and grab cooldown is 1% shorter.
- After 8: those, and drop cooldown is 1% shorter.
- After 9: those, and mints are a little more likely.
- After 10: those, and main characters are 1% more likely.
A later prestige adds another 1% to every buff that prestige included. Two prestiges at step 10 is 2% on all five, not 1% on the last one only.
The 5 minute drop floor and the 1 minute 15 second grab floor only cap the shop and server cooldown buffs. These percents apply on top of that.
What /prestige tells you
/prestige always says how many bits you still have to give before the next milestone, and what waiting to claim it would add.
- Before step 6, waiting adds the next bit payout. Once step 5 is claimed, it also tells you that continuing to step 6 is the first permanent.
- From step 6 on, waiting adds that step’s permanent on top of every earlier one.
- At step 10 there is no next milestone, so it says this is the last one.
When step 5 is already claimed, the message has a confirm button, the same idea as a trade. Confirming sets the bar and the claim count back to 0 and stamps the permanents for every step past 5 that you had claimed. Before step 5 there is no button. The command only shows the distance.
The Economy page uses the same confirm: Prestige, then Confirm prestige, or Keep the bar.
